SEATTLE,
WA, January 12, 2001 - After two and a half years
in development, the state-of-the-art 3D space
real-time strategy title, "Far Gate",
has been released in the United Kingdom, France,
Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Belgium, and Holland.
A German launch is planned for late February;
North American and Asian launch dates are still
in the works.
"Far
Gate", developed by Super X Studios in Seattle,
Washington, and published by Microids, France,
represents the next step in real-time strategy
gaming, with beautiful real-time rendered space
environments, an intuitive, fully 3D interface,
and amazing visual effects. The science-fiction
storyline, involving human colonists and
two distinct alien races, sets the backdrop for
massive space battles involving hundreds of units,
taking place in solar systems across our galaxy.
